"Dr. Yunus Named Among the World's Most Influential Muslims"

 

Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor of Bangladesh's interim government, has been listed among the world's 500 most influential Muslim personalities. He is featured in the top 50 of the list.


The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre (RISSC), based in Amman, Jordan, has published this list of the world's most influential Muslims for the 16th time. Since 2009, the organization has been releasing this annual list.


Titled "The Muslim 500: The World's Most Influential Muslims," the list includes individuals who have made significant contributions in various fields, ranging from religious thought and political leadership to arts and culture. These individuals are recognized for their profound influence on the Muslim community both within their own countries and globally.


This year's list was prepared in collaboration with the Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University in the United States.


Dr. Yunus, a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, assumed the role of Chief Advisor of Bangladesh's interim government following the fall of Sheikh Hasina's administration in the wake of a student-led uprising.
